Laura Swale

 

British-born Laura Swale is a versatile artist with a portfolio of figurative and abstract print-making, collage and painting in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Her work explores themes such as physics, music, nature and the human experience.

Alongside private collectors, Laura also works with designers and architects on large scale artistic briefs for commercial and residential projects requiring unique statement pieces or creative solutions for interior art. This could be a collection or series of themed works, a mural, installation or other site-specific work.

Laura is also an art writer and teacher, with a background in art education and leadership, cultural event planning, gallery and curatorial work. She studied art at Bath Spa University in the UK, pursuing her creative practice alongside a career teaching art, design, textiles and photography. Laura has also won several awards for her entrepreneurial work in the arts sector showcasing the creative talent of other artists.

Laura has been a contributing arts and cultural writer for the Times of Malta and other national newspapers. She is also a member of the judging panels of several art prizes, most notably the Sovereign Art Prize.
