Ghasri Skyline

Ghasri Skyline was inspired by the small village of Ghasri on the Maltese island of Gozo. Dominating the composition is the parish church of Ghasri towering over the village. The skyline of the village is barely visible and is only suggested by expressive brushstrokes at the bottom of the painting. The sky - just as the whole artwork - is characterised by a tapestry of colours made up of thick paint and glazes.
